Terms of Service
These terms are not in effect yet. Yellow text marks facts that still need deciding. Have a lawyer review them before launch.
These terms are the agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY: Graystone Trading LLC, or the entity that will own Tradepilot] ("we", "us", "our") for your use of Tradepilot: the website at tradepilot.net, the Tradepilot app and everything that comes with them. By creating an account or using Tradepilot, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tradepilot.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
The short version
- Tradepilot is a trading journal and analysis tool. It isn't a broker or an adviser, and nothing in it is investment advice.
- Trading is risky. Every trading decision, and its result, is yours.
- It costs $49 a month. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Your trading data is yours. We use it only to run Tradepilot for you.
- Our numbers and the AI's answers can be wrong. Check anything important against your broker's records.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You can't use Tradepilot where the law forbids it, for example because of sanctions.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has used it. We recommend turning on two-step verification.
2. What Tradepilot is, and isn't
Tradepilot helps you record and review your own trading. You can import, sync or enter trades, keep a daily plan and review, set trading rules, see statistics, calculate position risk, and get AI-written summaries and answers about your own data.
Tradepilot is not investment advice. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, financial planner or tax adviser. We don't place trades, hold money or manage accounts. Nothing in Tradepilot is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. That includes AI Coach answers, AI Insights, rules, scores, calculators, examples and our marketing.
Trading is risky. Trading stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto carries a substantial risk of loss and isn't suitable for everyone. With some products you can lose more than you put in. Past results, yours or anyone else's, don't guarantee future results. The examples on our website come from sample accounts. They're illustrations, not results you should expect.
You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and their results.
3. Your data and our calculations
Tradepilot works with the data you enter, the files you import and the data your broker sends through SnapTrade. That data can be incomplete, late or wrong, and our statistics and calculations are only as good as the data behind them. For example, synced trades may not include commissions and fees, so your profit and loss in Tradepilot can differ from your broker statement.
Your broker's records are the official record of your trading. Check anything important against them.
4. The AI features
The AI Coach and AI Insights are written by an AI model from Anthropic, using your data. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, even when it sounds sure of itself. Don't rely on it as the only basis for any decision.
The AI features have usage limits, such as a daily number of Coach questions, and we may change those limits. Don't try to make the AI features produce unlawful or harmful content, or work around their limits or safeguards.
5. Broker connections
- Connecting a broker is optional. The connection is provided by SnapTrade. When you connect, you sign in on SnapTrade's or your broker's own page and accept SnapTrade's terms.
- Connections are read-only. They can't place, change or cancel orders, and they can't move money.
- We don't control SnapTrade or your broker. Either one can change, limit or end access, and syncs can fail or run late. We can't promise that any particular broker will be supported, and we may add or remove brokers.
- You can disconnect a broker at any time.
6. Price, billing and cancellation
- Price. Tradepilot costs $49 (US dollars) a month, unless a different price is shown when you subscribe. Taxes are added where the law requires.
- [OFFER: pick one to match the sales page. Free trial: "Your first [N] days are free. We'll remind you before the trial ends, and you won't be charged if you cancel before then." Or money-back guarantee: "If Tradepilot isn't for you, email us within [N] days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full."]
- Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. You pay each month in advance, and your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time under Manage account, then Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the month you've already paid for.
- Refunds. We don't refund partial months, except as described in this section or where the law requires.
- If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you can withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of first subscribing and get a full refund. Email us at [CONTACT EMAIL] within those 14 days.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. If it keeps failing, we may pause your access until the payment goes through.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before your first renewal at the new price. If you don't want to continue, you can cancel before then.
7. Your content
- Your trades, notes, journal entries and anything else you put into Tradepilot ("your content") belong to you.
- You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run Tradepilot for you, keep it secure and support you. That includes sending it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies the law requires us to keep and copies in backups until those expire.
- Only upload content you have the right to use. Don't upload other people's account data without their permission.
- You can download your trades as a CSV file at any time.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.
8. Acceptable use
When you use Tradepilot, don't:
- break the law or anyone else's rights;
- access another person's account or data;
- probe, scan or test our security, or try to disrupt or overload the service. If you find a security problem, please report it to [CONTACT EMAIL] instead;
- copy, resell or rent out Tradepilot, or scrape it with bots or scripts;
- reverse engineer Tradepilot, except where the law allows it;
- upload viruses or other harmful code.
9. Other companies' services
Parts of Tradepilot rely on, or show content from, other companies, including SnapTrade, Stripe, Clerk, Anthropic and TradingView, and economic calendar data from outside sources. Their own terms apply to their services. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or accuracy. Charts and calendar data are for information only.
10. Our rights in Tradepilot
Tradepilot, including its software, design, text and the Tradepilot name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. While your subscription is active and you follow these terms, you have a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Tradepilot. These terms don't give you any other rights in it.
11. Changes to Tradepilot and to these terms
- We keep improving Tradepilot and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away a major part of what you pay for, we'll tell you in advance. You can then cancel and get a refund for any time you've paid for but won't use.
- We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Tradepilot after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can cancel before they take effect.
12. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using Tradepilot at any time. Cancelling your subscription stops the payments. To also remove your account and your data, delete your account under Manage account, then Billing, or email us. Deleting ends your subscription the same day, and refunds work as section 6 describes.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don't pay, if the law requires it, or if we need to protect Tradepilot or other people. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you time to download your data.
- If we ever shut Tradepilot down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for but won't get to use.
- When your account ends, we delete your data as our Privacy Policy describes. Sections 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 keep applying after these terms end.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tradepilot is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no promises or warranties, express or implied, including about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We don't promise that Tradepilot will always be available or free of errors, or that its data and calculations will be accurate or complete.
If you're a consumer, you may have legal rights that these terms can't take away. Nothing in these terms affects them.
14. Limits on our liability
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, trading losses, lost data or business interruption, even if we knew they were possible.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to Tradepilot is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Indemnity
If you use Tradepilot for business purposes rather than as a consumer, you agree to defend us and compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of Tradepilot or your breach of these terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
- If you have a problem, please email us first at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Most issues can be solved quickly that way.
- These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW: e.g. the State of ___, USA, or Sweden], and disputes go to the courts of [VENUE].
- If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
17. General
- These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Tradepilot.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Tradepilot, and we'll tell you if that happens. You may not transfer them without our written permission.
- We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- We'll send notices to the email address on your account. You can send notices to [CONTACT EMAIL].
- If these terms are translated, the English version applies.
